THE NEW ALBUM GHOSTS featuring Shane Nicholson, Felicity Urquhart, Kevin Bennett, Rob Woolf, Josh Cunningham, Jen Mize and Josh Schuberth
The characters, thoughts, dreams, lovers, friends and foes, fears - real and imagined - the Ghosts, are here.
Always will be.
Sure, you can hear the influences from Jeremy Edwards’ upbringing here..Ry Cooder, Joe Henry, Dylan, the country and blues on his parents' stereo, but what you can really hear is the weight of the influence of his peers around him.
Jeremy's writing and performing in the last five or more years with his band of brothers and sisters..Kevin Bennett, Felicity Urquhart, Shane Nicholson, Jen Mize, Matt Fell..these friends, all now intrinsically bonded also in grief from the passing of their friend and band mate Glen Hannah, these comrades are the ones who have brought Edwards to this point.
Producer and multi instrumentalist Josh Schuberth has also been key in this coming of age. The combination of Jeremy's deeper, darker roots influences and Schuberth’s pop sensitivities and his countless studio time with many of the friends listed here has blended beautifully to become part of the wide and rich palette of modern Australian songwriting and roots music.

Described by Grammy winning producer / mixer Eric J Dubowsky (Chet Faker, Flume, Angus and Julia Stone) as ‘the thinking man’s Keith Richards’, Jeremy Edwards is a producer, singer-songwriter and guitarist based in the seaside surrounds of Thirroul, NSW.
He was a Wollongong boy born into a family immersed by music. His parents eclectic vinyl collection (Dylan, the Rolling Stones, Ry Cooder, Hank Williams and Elvis alongside more hardcore blues, soul, jazz and classical music) was constantly reverberating at high volume throughout the house, seeping into Jeremy and his older brother’s hearts and minds throughout their childhood. Bless. Blessed.
After his return from a few years travelling in Europe, Edwards began discovering the songs of Patty Griffin, Buddy Miller, Fred Eaglesmith, Steve Earle and Lucinda Williams and the beauty of sweet, close harmony over tough rock n roll guitars. The die was cast.
Jeremy has since gone on to play, work with and write songs with some of Australia’s most successful artists in the Country, Blues and Roots arenas – from Golden Guitar winners Aleyce Simmonds, Kevin Bennett, Lyn Bowtell, Felicity Urquhart and Shane Nicholson to 2012 The Voice winner Karise Eden.
In between working with artists such as these Jeremy ran is own 5-piece alt country band Dust Radio, was the musical director for touring acts The Songs and Tales of Angry Old Men and Pearl: The Janis Joplin Story and, with many of the artists previously listed, is a song writing mentor.
Jeremy Edwards’ latest release ‘Ghosts’, his fourth album under his own name, is out now through Checked Label Services.
